The entire inSuit team is proud to be the recipient of the Queen Letizia Award for Accessibility Technology.
This prize is the most important recognition in this field in Spain, enjoying worldwide impact and importance, as it recognises the contributions made by inSuit in terms of values and innovation through technology for people with disabilities, fostering equal opportunities and technological inclusion. More information about the award can be found on this link.
For us this represents a milestone of enormous significance, as well as great recognition, given that the award jury boasts the participation of the Real Patronato Sobre Discapacidad (Royal Patronage for Disabilities), the CENTAC, or Centro Nacional de Tecnologías de Accesibilidad (National Centre of Accessibility Technology) and CERMI , or Comité Español de Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad (Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities), three organisations of the highest relevance and criteria in the field of web accessibility. It is worth noting that Fundación Once, Red.es and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality all sit on the CENTAC board.
This prize wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of the Red Proyecto Social-Discapacidad Tecnología. This not-for-profit association is made up of persons with physical, organic, sensory, intellectual or psychological disabilities who participated in the design and testing of inSuit.
